   I had no idea what to expect but, in short, I love the book.

   It's an excellent read and should make the New York Times Best Seller list.  It's explicit, and comforting to anyone who has ever taken out a loan, credit card or otherwise, and is now terrified and embarrassed.

   I liked your reference to the Twin Shaft disaster  running simultaneously with the mystery of what will happen to the various "characters" in the book.  The juxtaposition is nothing short of brilliant.  Both could have been foreseen.  The suggestion that new legislation might prevent future tragedies in both instances is a matter for our consciences and must be strongly attended.  - In the Knox Mine disaster and in the credit card plague you chose correctly in running them parallel to each other.  It's exciting and justified.

   Fear is a terrible thing.  So is embarrassment.  Your asessment of the feelings and emotions of people caught up in them, is right on target.  Also, nothing is nothing.  No money is no money.  Saving is the most perfect advice but, sometimes, with what?   

    One of the messages the book delivers is that debt settlement companies are not to be touched.  For one thing, this is stolen money, and from the poor and helpless.  "I have never seen a good debt settlement company," is a valuable quotation.

   Your small biography section is wonderful.  How you got here, is a study.  I thank "whatever Gods there be" that you came my way by the good grace of (a friend).

   I love this book.  It should be required reading in every college and high school in the United States.
